Warrants issued for man accused of McAdenville fleeing traffic stop early Friday morning at Old Road Planck eastern Lincoln County.

Lincoln County Sheriff Deputy M. Perkins saw a red Ford Ranger pickup truck with a load of scrap Old Road Planck and reportedly stopped the car near the Hines Circle Road.

Police say Curtis James Stewart, 39, of 123 Poplar Street drove. Perkins checked his license and found that Stewart had a warrant in Mecklenburg County.

When told about the warranty, Stewart left, according to the office of the Lincoln County Sheriff's.

The deputies chased Pickup on South NC 16 in Mecklenburg County. The chase continued on I-485 and I-77, and at one point a pickup truck drove through the grass median. Nobody was injured in the chase, police said.
