Duck Dynasty

 Duck Dynasty

Who cares about the Super Bowl, when the duck hunting season?

This is what "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson said. He rejected the possibility of playing in the NFL to remain true passion: hunting. This later led to the development of their own business selling duck calls and other equipment, which led to the family lights & the E reality show.

Back in the late 60's, Robertson was the quarterback at Louisiana Tech, starting in front of a guy named Terry Bradshaw - who became a Hall of Famer in four Super Bowl rings.

As mentioned in Sports Illustrated, Washington Redskins Robertson rejected the offer of the junior year to focus on duck hunting.

"I threw a touchdown pass to a guy running down the sideline, and he can run the ball, it was fun," he recalls. "But in my case, it was more fun to give up some flooded timber about 35 or 40 ducks go down on me in the forest. What makes my heart more good than all the world of football."
