Dozens of school districts are closed today in the Lansing area overnight snowfall.
Public schools in Lansing, St. John, Bath, Dansville, Mason, Okemos, Webberville, Stockbridge, Haslett, Owosso, East Lansing, Waverly, Charlotte, Ovid, Elsie, Pewamo-Westphalia and almost all are closed today, according to reports local television.
Light snow expected today in the other.
University of Michigan canceled classes and activities scheduled on Wednesday. Mott Community College Flint also canceled Wednesday classes. The Detroit area, Oakland University and Oakland Community College campuses are closed.
Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant environment of ongoing operations in the morning because of the weather.
